The International Exhibition of Invention of Geneva (www.inventions-geneva.ch) is the oldest and most prestigious international inventions Fair in the world, having a jury consisted of 82 members (the finest scholars of the world from all fields of technology).

The Grand Prix of the 41st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva was awarded to the Romanian society MB Telecom for the “Roboscan 2M Aeria” system that scans planes, according to a statement released Friday by the organizations of the show. 725 inventors from 45 countries are attending the Geneva show this week. You can read here the full list of awarded prizes.

Roboscan 2M Aeria, the only aircraft scanner in the world, a revolutionary product that will change the way airport customs and security screening is performed. Now you can see everything inside a plane, without needing tens of hours of specialized service personel. The invention is intended to customs, military, airports and airlines. This unit can radiograph aircraft of all sizes to find any structural flaws, damage to internal organs or materials or articles transported illegally, the statement added. Specializing in security, MBT (MB Telecom) has developed the Roboscan Aeria truck that features a moveable arm and scalable scans the plane, advancing at constant speed.

The process is fully automated. Radiography detects any object with a resolution of 0.5 mm. It’s for the first time in the history of the Geneva show that the Grand Prix goes to the same inventor for the second time, MB Telecom, a 100% Romanian company. MB Telecom was awarded previously the Grand Prix in 2009, receiving the prize for the best invention in the world for their “Roboscan 1M”, a multi-level vehicle inspection concept designed for efficient primary screening of vehicles and trucks, that can be fully scanned at speeds of up to 15km/h. ROBOSCAN 1M is the only mobile Gamma scanner in the world fully robotized, integrating a driverless facility, not exposing the operator to the risk of professional irradiation exposure, or terrorist attacks and integrating unparallel intelligence and security facilities. Roboscan (autonomous nonintrusive gamma imaging system) has proven its scientific and technological value by receiving numerous international awards, from outstanding scientific and technological institutions such as: The 37th International Exhibition of Invention of Geneva (www.inventions-geneva.ch) awarded The Grand Prize for Roboscan as the best invention in the world in 2009.

This is the oldest and most prestigious international inventions Fair in the world, having a jury consisted of 82 members (the finest scholars of the world from all fields of technology) that unanimously decided that Roboscan is the newest and technologically advanced mobile imaging system in the world. The World International Property Organization which is the single International authority in the field of inventions and innovations, above all national Intelectual Property National offices, decided to award MBT the Best Inventor Award in 2009 for Roboscan.

The International Inventions Fair of the Middle East Kuwait (www.iifme.com) in 2008, has awarded The Gold Medal for the invention Roboscan confirming the absolute technical superiority above all mobile imaging systems existing on the market. The International Warsaw Inventions Show in 2009, has awarded The Gold Medal for the invention Roboscan confirming one more time, the absolute technical superiority above all mobile imaging systems existing on the market. I love reading good news about Romania, Romanian people and companies! I do my best to spread the positive words around about it whenever I encounter them.
